Stratosphere Las Vegas

The Stratosphere tower remains the tallest building in Las Vegas and the 9th tallest structure in the United States. It looms over the desert and has vecome nearly as recognized a symbol of Las Vegas as the Welcome to Las Vegas sign. Did you know it is also a hotel. No, really.

Located at the north end of the Strip (see map), Stratosphere is a great cheap home base if you plan to spend a lot of time in Downtown Vegas. It is also home to some amazing thrill rides, If you're the type who likes nearly plummeting to your doom at 1,081 feet then jump onto Big Shot. Your view on Las Vegas will forever change.
